What can 60 second workouts do for my health?

A paper published by Nature Medicine in December of 2022, found that tiny spurts of exercise throughout the day are associated with significant reductions in disease risk.

The study, including over 25,000 people, showed that those who engaged in one or two-minute bursts of exercise roughly three times a day had:

✅ A nearly 50 percent reduction in cardiovascular mortality risk.

✅ A 40 percent reduction in the risk of dying from cancer and all causes of mortality.

This was found in people who were not exercisers to begin with, BUT ALSO WITH PEOPLE WHO WERE ALREADY EXERCISERS.

Do 60 second workouts improve glucose levels

2024 research from the Scandinavian Journal of Medicine and Science in Sports shows that doing 10 bodyweight squats every 45 minutes across an 8.5-hour sitting period can improve blood sugar regulation more effectively than a single 30-minute walk.

A small study showed that 'Exercise snacks' before meals  improved glycaemic control in individuals with insulin resistance.

I personally found that 60 seconds of squats AFTER a meal decreased my glucose spike by 30%. I share my experience in a video here.

Can short bouts of exercise improve body composition?

A 2020 randomized controlled trial showed that exercise snacks (6 × 1 min of resistance-based activities) 3 times daily for 3 months)) were easy to perform and well tolerated and were associated with a 2.2% loss of body fat mass, with no change in lean body mass.

What effect do 60 second workouts have on my brain?

In December of 2023, a randomized crossover trial was published in the Journal of Applied Physiology.

It found that compared to sitting for 3 hours straight, intermittent exercise during prolonged sitting significantly improved:

✅Executive function

✅Cerebral blood flow

✅Concentration

✅Fatigue

How does the app work?

Take it for a one-week, no-strings attached test run and see if the app is a good fit for you!

Why did you build this app?

I didn’t have time to workout for 60 minutes a day.

I was studying to become a DevOps Engineer. 💻
I had a full time job. 💼
I wanted to be present for my two young daughters. 👨‍👧‍👧

So I started doing micro workouts here and there throughout the day.

Each micro workout, or exercise snack, lasted about 60 to 120 seconds.

It turned out to be a great way for me to maintain fitness and energy. I felt sharper and more focused too.

Long story short...

I created the 60 Seconds Workout app, a game-changing solution that's already helping hundreds of desk-bound professionals get fit—60 seconds at a time.

Enjoy your First Week Free.

No strings attached.
